ASN DWGE ( DIGESTIVE WHEAT GERM EXTRACT CAPSULES)
- DWGE is a gluten, fructan and gliadin free prebiotc containing mixture high % of biologically active materials including benzo-quinones (the 2,6-dimethoxy-p-benzoquinone (2,6DMBQ), oligosaccharides.
- Oligosaccharides help to stimulate the growth and activity of bacteria in the digestive system with a beneficial effect in the digestive process.
- The DWGE energy conversion rate is estimated to be 78%. The vitamin E, vitamin B1, carotene and niacin content of the product are 2-3 times higher than normal wheat germ.
- DWGE has also been shown to play a major role in the regulation of Immunoglobulin A (IgA), Immunoglobulin E (IgE),Immunoglobulin G (IgG), and Th1 and Th2 cells levels.
The human gastrointestinal track (GI tract) is much more than a digestion center and is “home” to 80% of our immune system. And within our gut reside roughly 100 trillion living bacteria. That’s more than 10 times the number of cells we have in your entire body – and maintaining the ideal ratio of “good bacteria” to “bad bacteria” has gained recognition in recent years as perhaps the single most important step we can take to protect our health. In fact, there are more than 200 studies linking inadequate good bacteria levels to more than 170 different negative health issues, Including inflammatory diseases (ulcerative colitis, crohn’s disease, inflammatory bowel disease and irritable bowel syndrome), obesity and weight gain. Virtually every study performed on the obese population analysing gut bacteria found higher instances of “bad” bacteria and lower levels of good bacteria within these individuals.
HERE ARE SOME OF THE SIGNS WHEN INTESTINAL BACTERIAL BALANCE IS OUT OF CONTROL:
- Gas and bloating
- Constipation and/or diarrhea
- Acid reflux
- Skin problems
- Overall sickness
- Urinary tract infections
- Trouble sleeping
- An inability to lose weight
- Sugar cravings, especially for heavily refined carbohydrates
The ideal healthy ratio of “good” to “bad” bacteria is 85% to 15%, or 9 to 1. Unfortunately, due to lifestyle and environmental factors, the vast majority of the population is severely lacking when it comes to good bacteria, throwing their gut flora ratio completely out of whack. Bad bacteria (health-destroying bacteria) further feeds and multiply on the following such as:
- Post exercise carbohydrate drinks
- Processed foods
- Chlorinated water
- Alcoholic beverages
- Agricultural chemicals and pesticides
- Artificial sweeteners of any kind ( found in “diet”beverages and food items
- Antibiotics ( from medications and/or antibiotics found in meat and dairy products that we ingest).
ABOUT DIGESTIVE WHEAT GERM EXTRACT ( DWGE):
DWGE is a gluten, gliadin and fructan (fructooligosaccharides) free prebiotc containing mixture of biologically active materials including benzo-quinones ( the 2,6-dimethoxy-p-benzoquinone (2,6DMBQ), oligosaccharides derived from wheat germ. The wheat (Triticum vulgaris) is one of the largest known natural sources of these compounds), oligosaccharides helps to stimulate the growth and/or activity of bacteria in the digestive system with a beneficial effect in the digestive process. After the harmful proteins of gluten, gliadin, fructans and toxins are eliminated , the wheat germ extract concentration allows the immunomodulatory effects of the substituted benzo-quinones to be obtained without the consumption of impractically large amounts of wheat germ.
Oligosaccharides can have many functions; for example, they are commonly found on the plasma membrane of animal cells where they play a role in cell–cell recognition. DWGE aids in many metabolic processes of the body including weight maintenance, immune system stabilization, stress and oxidative factors, and more efficient food to energy conversion. Common Wheat Germ is estimated to have a beneficial food to energy conversion rate of 7% but the DWGE converse rate is estimated to be 78%.
The product has favorable protein content (18,0% of DM) and outstanding essential amino acid Lysine and Methione content.
The vitamin E, vitamin B1, carotene and niacin content of the product are 2-3 times higher than normal wheat germ. DWGE has also been shown to play a major role in the regulation of Immunoglobulin A (IgA), Immunoglobulin E (IgE), Immunoglobulin G (IgG), and Th1 and Th2 cells levels.
Oligosaccharides also aid in the digestion of macronutrients. This property has gained recent interest from the nutritional community because the human digestive system has a difficult time breaking down many carbohydrates. It is estimated that up to 90% of ingested carbohydrates escape digestion in the small intestine and reach the colon. Here, DWGE performs a different function, it acts as a prebiotic and prevent the cells to take up the escaped sugar . Prebiotic is a recently coined term referring to food components that support the growth of certain kinds of beneficial bacteria in the colon (large intestine). We’re learning now that a whole other digestive process is happening in the colon, with important influences on the rest of the body.
Our understanding of the role of Prebiotics is based on scientists’ rapidly expanding knowledge of how the micro biome–the large population of microbes, their genomes and the interactions between them within the GI tract–can significantly impact human health. Prebiotics are non-digestible ingredients that serve as nutrients for beneficial GI bacteria. Unlike probiotics, which attempt to add certain living microbes to the GI tract, prebiotics work primarily by providing the nutrition that these beneficial microbes need to grow and thrive. Since the huge number of microbes in the GI tract can overwhelm the relatively small amounts of bacteria contained in probiotic supplements, many researchers believe that prebiotics may have a more significant and lasting impact on health.
DWGE contains a selective ingredient that allows specific changes, both in the composition and/or activity in the gastrointestinal micro flora that confers benefits upon host well-being and health. In addition DWGE contains short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs). New research has preliminarily demonstrated that SCFAs provide many benefits, both locally in the colon and in the rest of the body. DWGE also aids in the production of various butyrate (salts of butyric acid), which recently received attention as a possibly colon tissues damage protector, including ulcerative colitis.
THE FOLLOWING BENEFITS MAY BE EXPECTED FROM USING DWGE:
- May help to regulate glucose metabolism at the cellular level, starving enemy cells that require excessive glucose
- May help to regulate and modulate the immune system’s white blood cells for peak performance — T cells, B cells, macrophages and NK cells
- May help in maintain healthy cell-mediated and humoral (Th1/Th2) immune balance
- May help to regulate IgA, IgE, IgG levels
- May help to support cell metabolic regulation and promotes immune system modulation
- May help to enhance the ability of T-cells to respond to antigen presentation
- May help to activate digestive enzymes and to detoxify the colon.
- May help to lower cholesterol lower triglycerides
- May help to improve insulin sensitivity and glucose metabolism
ABOUT DIGESTIVE WHEAT GERM EXTRACT ( DWGE):
“For the last couple years I’ve suffered from terrible bouts of IBS. I recently started taking DWGE and it has made a significant improvement on my condition. Digestion seems much better and am going on a much more regular basis. Nausea discomfort and bloating has decreased significantly, over the last few years I’ve tried many products for my condition with little success but this one is definitely a winner! If you have digestive issues do yourself a favor and give this a shot you won’t be disappointed!” Jeremy, Professional Bodybuilder.
“My name is Robert Gomez, I am a 30 yr old male born with cerebral palsy. Throughout my life I have always had problems with regular bowel movements, I would occasionally go days without a movement, and when I would go they would be very solid, and small in size. About two months ago I took a 30 day supply of the Wheat Germ Extract, I saw immediate results I began using the having bowel movements on a regular basis and even some days multiple times. It has been about three weeks since the last time I took Wheat Germ Extract, and I am still having normal movement, and have been feeling a lot better.”
“I have had ibs-d for little over 15 years now. The doctors have been little to no help and have just said it is something I’m just going to have to deal with. So I’ve tried all sorts of supplements. Some do work but only for a short time. When I was given the opportunity to try DWGE for free I figured why not. And after being sold on Humanofort from Emeric, I knew it had to be a decent product. Well I soon as I started taking it my stomach started to feel more normal. It didn’t have that uneasy feeling like I needed to run to the bathroom. It seemed to work better than any other probiotic or digestive enzyme I’ve taken. This was the first prebiotic I’ve taken and it seems top notch. Now it’s not a cure all and I still have to focus on my diet but it is definitely a good asset to have and use against IBS symptoms. Thanks again Emeric for giving me the chance to try your product.” Courtney J Thompson.
“As a child I was diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Besides the stomach pain and constant trips to the bathroom, I always just felt horrible after eating. After talking with Emeric, he sent me a bottle of DWGE. For the first time in my life I’m symptom free. My stomach feels great, digestion is better, haven’t had stomach pain or discomfort since the 3rd day using this product. I’m sure no one really wants to hear it, but I finally have normal bowel movements as well. For anyone with any type of stomach issue including IBS and Chrone’s Disease this is an absolute must. Even more so for bodybuilders. Bodybuilding is a sport of recovery and a big part of that equation is digestion. This should be a staple in anyone’s supplement regimen with any kind of stomach issue right up there with your protein and vitamins. I can’t thank Emeric enough for bringing this product to us. It literally changed my life.” Thomas Kavanaugh
My name is Chris, I am 22 year old college student. I have normally been healthy and active all of my life. I took up weight lifting my senior year of high school. I started to grow a lot the first two years. Ended up reaching around 180 with 10 to 15% body fat depending on the time of year. Since the end of August 2012, I was suffering from horrible diarrhea, bloody stools, and weight loss. At one moment, it was a struggle to hold my bowels. It was getting scarier and scarier by the day. I would have saw a specialist sooner, but I had no insurance. Finally, my insurance kicked in January and I got a upper and lower scope on my GI track. At first my doctor though I only had colitis, but then when tests came back… I found out I have Crohn’s dieases. I started medication such as Prednison and Asacol. I told my doctor to lower the dosages a significant amount. I sent a message to Emeric Delczeg about my problems and any suggestions about food choices or supplement that would aid my recovery and avoid being on medication. He suggest wheat germ extract and sent me many articles about it. I capped 500mg of wheat germ extract and took two a day. By the end of the week, I was having normal bowels. I haven’t seen normal, formed, non painful bowels in over 5 to 6 months. I was about to go on a car ride without having to stop and find the closest bathroom. There could be a positive correlation between my Crohn’s flare up and taking wheat germ extract.
CASE STUDIES (BRIEF SUMMARY):
1./ A middle aged female patient previously suffering from gynecological and large intestine tumor, the left teat malignant tumor was diagnosed, and a serious of treatments such as surgery, irradiation therapy and cyclic chemo therapy began. The earlier chemo-therapy caused serious gastrointestinal side effects (nauseating, vomiting, bad feeling), which significantly improved and eased since the last two months of DWGE therapy. The gastro intestinal system side effects stopped 48 hours after the chemo-therapy treatment.
2./ A young man, who is suffering from a congenital selective IgA deficiency. Previously fallen into high fever state, which followed by a drop in his white blood cell count (neutropaenia). He was referred to us from a child immunology specialist, and due to the last four months of DWGE treatment he is now without any symptoms. In his blood work, beside the low IgA level, every value is in balance and due to a normal white blood cell count the typical side effect of infections like skin and mouth cavity mucosal wounds stopped, so as high fever. He feels good and works.
3./ A 62 years old female patient whom I first saw 18 years ago in my hematology practice, where she was referred to me with chronic but not cyclic neutropaenia. The white blood cell values fluctuated between 1,7 G/l and 3,2 G/l, and she complained of depression, weakness, and fever. She has received several immuno-modulating treatments, but during the last three months of DWGE treatment got her feeling much better, and her white blood cell count is between 4,7 G/l and 5,6 G/l. Another favorable effect is that her diabetes enteropathia ceased by taking 2 x 500 mg DWGE.
4./ A young female patient, who has been referred to an internal medicine specialist because of an uncertain nature of colica like complaint. During physical examination beside sensitivity of the solar plexus, I didn’t find any other symptoms. Her laboratory blood work is negative. (Helicobacterial pylori test is negative also). I performed an upper and lower endoscopy examination, which I used to explore any gastro-intestinal and large intestinal lesion, but I didn’t find any abnormalities. The common distention, feeling of fullness and occasional diarrhea, as well as sometimes increased stress state caused irritable intestinal symptoms. Besides an appropriate lifestyle and diet change, she is taking DWGE, and has no complaints, abdominal pains ceased, and she gained 5 pounds.
The above brief case summaries show that the systematic administration of 2 x 500 mg of Digestive Wheat Germ Extract has been clearly beneficial for the referenced clinical cases.
